Japan Comedy News: A German Newspaper (mistakenly) reports Japanese Comedian Sugichan wins the 500 million yen lottery

On July 11th, German Tabloid Newspaper Bild reported that "a Japanese Comedian Sugichan won 500 million yen in the Lottery and took the money home" accompanied by a photo of the Sugichan grimacing with a pile of cash.

Of course, the report was false and the photo was in fact from an advertisement event that Sugichan had participated in.

Ironic since it's not even real money!

The Newspaper later apologized for the report claiming "the news came from an outside source and we thought it would make for an interesting article."

But then again, who ever believed a tabloid newspaper?
